PEN CENTER USA hosts a conversation with author TC Boyle
T.C. Boyle is one of those few writers who excel equally well at the novel and the short story. The New York Times, in a review of Boyle’s 2001 collection of short stories, After The Plague, described him as a “writer who can take you anywhere. He is the author of twenty books of fiction and more than 60 short stories. His work has been translated into more than two dozen foreign languages. He won the PEN/Faulkner award in 1988 for his third novel,World's End,which recounts 300 years in upstate New York.

HuDOST, a group from Montreal, gathers a rich eclectic blend of Rock, traditional Sufi and eastern European music with, "musical styles as diverse as the jellies in Marco Polo's kitchen cupboard." HuDost has toured throughout the US, Europe, and Canada including extensive tours on the east coast with popular venues such as: Alex Grey's CoSM in NYC, the Salvador Dali Museum, the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts and many others. Their most recent album "Trapeze" which was released earlier this year and produced by Grammy Award winner Malcolm Burn (Emmylou Harris, Bob Dylan, Kaki King).

Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine performs w/ SHOOTER JENNINGS! This Grammy Award-winning guitarist is known for his tenure with Rage Against the Machine, Audioslave, his acoustic solo act, The Nightwatchman, and his newest group, Street Sweeper Social Club. This outspoken political activist co-founded the Axis of Justice whose purpose is "to build a bridge between fans of music around the world and local political organizations to effectively organize around issues of peace, human rights, and economic justice." Morello is featured as one of the guitarists in Rolling Stone's "The Top 20 New Guitarists" article, and is listed #26 in the article "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time".
